How to made steel with PANTONES®,
in rough demonstration

1-Préparation
1-Beginning

MATERIELS:
-Exacto,cutter,objets contendants....
-Pastel sec.

UTILISATION:
-choisir judicieusement la couleur de son pastel sec.
-gratter un peu du pastel sur une feuille à part.

 MATERIALS:
-cutter,knife,...
-dry pastel.

USE:
-choose wisely your color of dry pastel.
-scrape a little pastel onto a separate sheet.
MATERIELS:
-Talc.

UTILISATION:
-saupoudrer de talc votre petit tas comme ci-dessous.

INTERET:
-il évite au pastel de coller directement à la feuille.
-il permet de retoucher un nombre de fois limité l'étalement des pastels sur la feuille.		 MATERIALS:
-talcum powder.

USE:
-dust your little pile of pastel scraping with talcum powder like blow.

WHY?:
-to prevent any pastel sticking on the sheet.
-it allows you to retouch alimited numbers of times your creation.
APPLICATION:
-Vous pouvez utiliser une seule couleur, mais je vous montre pour plusieurs.
-Mettre la couleur la plus sombre vers le haut, et bien-sûr la couleur la plus claire au-dessous.
-Le talc doit tout recouvrir.
USE:
-You can use only 1 color, but i would rather show you with 2.
-Put the darker color at the top, and the lighter bellow.
-The talc powder had to cover all.
MATERIELS:
-Disque à démaquillier, genre DEMAKUP®.

UTILISATION:
-Séparer les 2 parties du disque.

INTERET:
-Il permet (contrairement au mouchoir ou papier toilette...) de ne pas accrocher aux points de colle de votre papier LAYOUT.		 MATERIALS:
-DEMAKUP cotons.

USE:
-Separe the 2 part of the coton.

WHY?:
-It prevent to stick to the glue medium of the sheet of LAYOUT.
UTILISATION:
-Vous vous retrouvez avec 2 disques que vous pouvez utiliser pour la suite.		 USE:
-You have now 2 pieces of coton that you can use.
MATERIELS:
-1 demi-disque (que vous venez de séparer).
-1 Pantone (coté pointe).

UTILISATION:
-Placer la pointe du Pantone au milieu de votre coton, du côté imprimé du disque.

INTERET:
-Il permet (grâce à son capuchon galbé) d'utiliser la pointe ou la base, par simple rotation.		 MATERIALS:
-1 half of coton disk.
-1 Pantone.

USE:
-Put in the middle of the disk, the fine part of your Pantone.

WHY?:
-It helps to be more carefull.
UTILISATION:
-Replier le disque en 2.		 USE:
-Flex the disk on the Pantone.
UTILISATION:
-Et replier la partie restante le long du capuchon du Pantone.		 USE:
-Flex the disk on itself.
UTILISATION:
-Enfin enrouler la partie restante sur le capuchon.		 USE:
-Now roll-over it self.
MATERIELS:
-Votre petit tas de pastel et talc
-Votre coton enroulé sur votre Pantone.

UTILISATION:
-Bien frotter votre coton-Pantone sur votre pastel, en prenant soin de faire un degradé,
avec la couleur foncée du côté de la pointe.		 MATERIALS:
-Your small pile of pastel.
-Your Pantone-coton.

USE:
-Rub your Pantone-coton in the way to have agradation of color.
UTILISATION:
-En utilisant ainsi votre coton-Pantone vous placerez avec précision la couleur foncée des
pastels.		 USE:
-In this kind of use, you will be more accurate.
UTILISATION:
-En jouant sur la courbure du capuchon, vous pouvez optenir différents effets...		 USE:
-Play with the angle of the Pantone-coton to achieve different effects...

Oeuf métallique en 3D:

-L'horizon se reflète en prenant le galbe de la forme de l'objet.
-L'ombre au sol se reflète dans l'oeuf en se déformant.
Steel egg in 3D:
-It reflet the horizon with the
curvature of the egg.
-The shadow is reflected in the egg, with a deformation.
-Rajouter une couronne blanche sur la périphérie horizontale.
-Put a white circlet on the horizontal periphery

-Augementer le contraste du ciel (reflété dans l'oeuf).
-Eclaircissé l'ombre sur sa périphérie.
-Sans oublier d'éclaircir le reflet dans l'oeuf.
-Pull up the contrast of the sky (in the egg).

-without forgget to do the same thing to the reflection.

3-Comment faire un ovale métallique avec des PANTONES®,
en méthode rough
3-How to made a steel egg-shaped with PANTONES®,
in rough demonstration

MATERIELS:
-Feuilles LAYOUT.
-1 Stylist (de chez STABILO®) ou stylo feutre.
-Des PANTONES®.
-1 POSCA® blanc.
-Crayon couleur (pas aquarellable).
-Disques coton.
-Pastels sec.
-Talc.

UTILISATION:
-Penser à l'avance à la taille de son dessin, en
prenant en compte la taille de l'ombre futur.
-Faire une élipse au Stylist (de environ 10cm).
-Prendre un PANTONE® de couleur claire (ex: 650),
et faire une bande avec le feutre épais.
MATERIALS:
- Sheets LAYOUT.
-1 Stylist (from STABILO®) or pen felts.
- PANTONES®.
-1 white® POSCA.
- Pencil color (not aquarellable).
- Discs cotton.
- Pastels dryness.
- Talc.

USE:
- To think in advance with the size of its drawing, in
taking into account the size of the shade future.
- To make a élipse in Stylist (of approximately 10cm).
- To take a PANTONE® of clear color (ex: 650),
and to make a band with the thick felt.
-Faire un dégradé vers le bas à partir de votre premier trait.
-Pour l'ombre au sol, il faut faire un dégradé dans le sens perpendiculaire à l'axe de l'ombre (en prenant compte de la perspective..)
 - To downwards make a range starting from your first feature.
- For the shade on the ground, it is necessary to make a range in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the shade (by taking account of the prospect.)
-Accentuer les parties rouges.
-faire le reflet de l'ombre dans l'oeuf.
-Laisser l'intérieure de l'ombre ainsi que le bout, plus claire.

Une fois que vous avez tout fini
avec les Pantones:

-Prendre un crayon (plus foncé que la couleur Pantone) et accentuer les parties externes.
-Avec vos pastels-secs faite un dégradé radial (en forme de cercle et vers l'extèrieur), sans toucher aucun bord et en prenant légèrement la courbe de l'oeuf.
 Once that you very finished
with Pantones:

- To take a pencil (darker than the Pantone color) and to accentuate the external parts.
- With a your pastel-dry made radial range (in the shape of circle and towards the exterior), without touching any edge and by taking the curve of egg slightly.
-Pour finir; avec votre crayon blanc, reprennez les
micros volumes de votre objet.
-Avec le Posca® blanc faite des points sur les différentes zones; les plus fortes en reflets...



Pour finir, vous pouvez faire un arrière plan qui se reflètera dans l'oeuf (avec une déformation!).
Cette déformation est à faire au Pantones® avant de mettre les pastels-secs!!!
 - to finish; with your white pencil, reprennez them
micro volumes of your object.
- With white Posca® made some points on the various zones; strongest in reflections...


To finish, you can make a background which will be reflètera in egg (with a deformation!).
This deformation is to be made in Pantones®
before putting thedry ones!!!
